1. Early Man – Review the timeline we did as a class and share your thoughts. Do you see any evidence that mankind is moving towards the kind of life we live now? What species of early man made the most movement towards being like us? What changes in lifestyle do you think are the most important? Check out this link about a discovery scientists have made that shows people started to live together as families thousands of years ago. Are you surprised? Why?
2. Mesopotamia – As groups of people began living together in one place, they began to support each other as a community. This meant that people could start to focus on ideas, technologies and innovations that would change the lives of mankind. You have already chosen a technology that you feel was the most important change in how people lived. The next civilization we are studying is ancient Egypt. How do you think the Egyptians will use the technology you have chosen? Do you think they will add anything to its’ development? Will they bring the technology closer to how we use it today? What are your predictions and ideas?
