• Read pages 109 to 112 in the textbook and do the activities in Try This.
• Read pages 113 to 118
• Look at the photo of the Indus Valley (ruins of the city of Harappa), click on the hotspot, watch the video and answer the discussion questions
• Answer the Questions in Think For Yourself on page 114
• in a group of 4 complete this webquest: Experiencing India’s Caste System
• Working by yourself, create a podcast or vodcast report on one on the people’s of India outlined in page 120 and 121, You will need to do more research.
• explore this virtual tour of ancient India (it continues after Ancient Egypt)
• on your own (and using the brochure template in Microsoft Word or AppleWorks) create a travel brochure for your travel agent business that will tell people what to expect when they take a holiday to ancient India. Include information on possible attractions, hotels, people, customs, food and what to pack. You can add your own original illustrations. YOU WILL NEED TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION!!
